Catching a fish outranks anything in Bush’s five years

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!?

President Bush told a German newspaper his best moment in more than five years in office was catching a big perch in his own lake.

"You know, I’ve experienced many great moments, and it’s hard to name the best," Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001.

Well, I guess with all the screwups he’s made in those five years, catching a fish could be considered a highlight.  I bet his neoconservative fanboys are probably confused as hell.  "But j00 freed teh Iraqis!"

Though it is bothersome that a fish beat out overthrowing the Taliban.

Moussaoui: I lied

Filed under: News - Jason @ 8:07 pm

From Yahoo.

Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the terrorist plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea and go to trial. The judge turned him down.

Moussaoui said he was "extremely surprised" that he was sentenced to life in prison instead of execution and now believes he can get a fair trial from an American jury.

I think he just realised the sentence was real and that he wasn’t just going to be killed later on.  Man, to be a fly on the wall when that sudden realisation that he is indeed going to be spending the rest of his miserable life in prison hit him.  That definitely would’ve been a picture for Flickr.
